Description
By contributing, you support students by fostering a community of care that works toward justice and ensuring all students can meet their most basic needs.
We understand that unexpected events and circumstances arise that create temporary and pressing financial needs in our students’ lives. The COVID-19 pandemic has also exacerbated financial challenges for our students. Thanks to the generosity of corporate and individual donors, Student Life provides support to SU students through emergency financial assistance to SU students experiencing one-time, non-tuition related financial emergencies. We aim to alleviate sudden and critical financial barriers that disrupt students’ ability to focus on their education.
Students who are hungry have difficulty learning and focusing on their educational and professional goals. The Food Security Initiatives mitigates this through the food pantry, educational programs, and dining cards for use in campus dining facilities
Your gift today can support critical needs such as: rent and utilities, medical expenses, technology, and transportation. Your gift provides food directly to students through the food pantry, facilitates education such as cooking classes and nutrition workshops, and supplement dining cards for use in campus dining facilities
