When the College of Ed reaches 40 gifts, it will unlock $10,000 for the College of Education Student Emergency Fund.
We prepare ethical, reflective, transformative professionals to advance social, economic, and political justice in collaboration with local and global communities. Seattle University College of Education has a long and distinguished history of preparing ethical and reflective leaders who are making systemic changes from the classroom to the boardroom. The College’s 11 academic program areas offer graduate degrees that prepare students for careers in K-12 schools (requiring state certification) and Non-K-12 areas.
Additionally, the College has a pathway to a bachelor’s degree in K-8 education through a collaboration with the College of Arts and Science’s Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies program. This pathway enables undergraduates to earn a Washington state elementary teaching credential in addition to an ELL endorsement, making it easier for teachers to get into a classroom.
