Lemieux Library and McGoldrick Learning Commons

In a time of rapid change, Lemieux Library and McGoldrick Learning Commons continues to evolve to meet the needs of 21st-century students, faculty and staff. With our Learning Commons Partnership, the Library offers a unique environment in which our students succeed in their academic programs and develop the attitudes and skills for a lifetime of intellectual vigor and continuous learning. The Library’s facilities, technologies, resources and services:

  • Engage the community in a full expression of teaching, learning, scholarship and research.
  • Enrich the individual and collaborative intellectual processes and personal experiences of exploration and discovery as part of the search for truth.
  • Enable in each student an active, lifelong ability to confront ideas, to master knowledge and to learn continuously.

A contribution to the Library Gift Fund provides unrestricted funding that enables the Library to purchase materials in a variety of formats and respond to emerging needs of students and faculty.

Parents and Guardians Gift Challenge
Thanks to the generosity of our Redhawk Parent and Family Leadership Council, a challenge gift of $2,700 to the Catalyst Fund for Student Success and Engagement will be unlocked after 100 parents/guardians make a gift to any area during Seattle U Gives. The Catalyst Fund empowers Student Development staff to strengthen existing programs and respond with innovative initiatives to help meet students’ social, intellectual and spiritual needs. Examples are the Emergency Needs Fund for our most financially challenged students and the Food Pantry for students experiencing food insecurity.
