Message from Coach Hirai

Last spring, our program hit the following milestones:

  • Won both the Western Athletic Conference regular-season title and WAC Tournament title
  • Earned a berth in the NCAA Softball Tournament
  • Won an NCAA Tournament regional game
  • Beat a top-25 team
  • Won 40 games during the season

These achievements were possible because of the buy-in from our student-athletes to our culture of working hard, going for it, family, and fighting until the end. Our slogan from last year embodies what this team accomplished and what this program is all about – RBLO, which stands for Rise BLifting Others. They lived and played by this motto all year long.

This year we are working harder than ever: running hard, getting stronger in the weight room, and honing our craft of being a great softball team.  This year’s schedule is tougher than ever with 30 of our 50 games against the top 100 RPI in the country.

The success of our program is opening doors. We are earning invitation to more prestigious tournaments, including the “best-of-the-best” in the Mary Nutter Classic in Palm Springs, and bigger programs wanting to play us.

Competitive success opens new doors of opportunity. We have earned invitations to prestigious tournaments, including the highly acclaimed Mary Nutter Classic in Palm Springs.

To evolve as a program and continue enhancing our student-athlete experience, we need your support. Your generosity directly impacts the success of our 19 student-athletes in their collegiate careers.

Thank you!

Geoff Hirai
