Continuing the Legacy of Connection & Tradition of Action
The Office of Multicultural (OMA) proudly celebrates our 50th anniversary this year. In 1969, thanks to the activism and advocacy of our black students, OMA was created to support the thriving of our historically minoritized students. The demographics of our campus has certainly become more diverse over our 50 year history. And yet, the mission work of OMA continues to be rooted in the same truths – that all of our students deserve programs, resources, and structures that promote their individual and collective thriving at Seattle University.
Your gift today can resource some of our key initiatives such as our Food Security Initiative – a three-part program that offers tangible support for our students experiencing hunger and food insecurity. Gifts can also support the expansion of leadership programs such as the Connections Leadership Program – a year-long, cohort based experience for students of color. Your gift today can help us actualize the many ideas we have in expanding our support of our LGBTQIA+ students and undocumented students.
We hope you will join us in continuing our proud legacy of connection and tradition of action.
