The College of Science and Engineering is the STEM college at Seattle University, with more than a dozen majors spanning the fields of science, mathematics, computer science, and engineering. The College is dedicated to preparing students for responsible roles in their chosen professions and to advancing the educational qualifications of practicing professionals. Rooted in the Jesuit tradition of liberal education, the College seeks to foster among all Seattle University students an understanding of scientific inquiry and a critical appreciation of technological change, and to inspire them to lifelong intellectual, professional, and human growth.
The College of Science and Engineering is the most rapidly growing college or school at Seattle University. More than 100 full-time and part-time faculty members offer a relevant, hands-on approach to STEM education to more than 1,300 undergraduate majors and graduate students. Through research and professional development, our professors keep abreast of the latest advances and continually improve degree programs that harmoniously blend theory and practice. Problem solving, critical thinking, teamwork, and opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration characterize a holistic approach to the education provided to undergraduate and graduate students.
