The Women, Gender and Sexuality program challenges students academically, personally, and politically to actively promote social justice and social transformation. Courses in the interdisciplinary, intersectional, and international program give students the expertise to deal positively and effectively with issues of gender and sexuality facing individuals and society. WGSS students engage in praxis, which simply means putting their intellect and expertise to work outside the classroom, the library, and the lab. Students are offered plenty of chances to get out there and make change through internships, community engagement, research with faculty, and creative projects.
Donations to the Women, Gender and Sexualities program will be used to help students by providing them with small grants to cover some expenses they might have when completing WGSS projects and research or attending conferences to present their work. Any donations will allow students to take full advantage of these exciting educational opportunities.
