Seattle University sponsors 20 intercollegiate sports at the NCAA Division I level: baseball, basketball, track and cross-country, golf, rowing, soccer, softball, swimming, and volleyball. Teams (except for women’s rowing) compete as members of the Western Athletic Conference.
The Athletics Department champions the values expressed in the Mission Statement of Seattle University and views athletics as a key component of the Jesuit philosophy to educate the whole person - body, mind and spirit. Through participation in intercollegiate athletics, student-athletes learn critical life lessons and values which are important in their formation as future leaders of the world.
Athletic coaches, staff and administrators provide student-athletes with an experience in their sport that is challenging and rewarding while maintaining an environment where the pursuit of higher education is the top priority.
$500 provides uniform, practice gear, shoes, and other equipment for a season of play
$100 provides several personalized sessions of weight-training
$50 provides student-athletes with 4 hours of personal tutoring services
$25 provides ground transportation to the airport for a traveling student-athlete
$10 provides a pregame meal to a student-athlete
Through participation in intercollegiate athletics, student-athletes learn critical life lessons, practical skills such as time management, and values which are important in their formation as future leaders of the world. Athletics is more than a game. We are building champions for life.
