Our graduates’ ability to write clearly and persuasively benefits clients and communities all over the world, helping to shape life-changing legal decisions. Support our Legal Writing Program, and ensure our current and future students have the same opportunity you had as a UPS or Seattle U Law student—the opportunity to excel in legal writing.
During this year’s Seattle U Gives, you have an opportunity to invest in our top-ranked Legal Writing Program. Your gifts will help us continue educating practice-ready graduates whose excellent writing skills set them apart. Our outstanding faculty are dedicated experts in their fields, and our cross-departmental teaching methods are innovative methods that teach our students to research, analyze, think, and write like lawyers. For example, through the Real Clients in the First Year Project, a unique partnership between the Legal Writing Program and the Ronald A. Peterson Law Clinic, first-year students get to work on a real legal problem affecting clients.
The Goal:
Be one of the alumni who demonstrate support of the Legal Writing Program by making a gift in recognition of the difference our Legal Writing faculty have made in your career. Our goal is to announce that more than 50 alumni have chosen to give back to law school programs that helped them launch and achieve career success.
At Seattle University School of Law we know that lawyering is a profession and a privilege that comes with responsibilities, including to lead, to educate, and to seek justice. We believe in free speech, the vigorous exchange of ideas and debate, and that education when done well can bring light to darkness and build bridges of understanding and respect across difference. No matter the size or designation, your support makes a difference for our students, our programs, and our community.
